Scope and Automatic Consent:
By making a binding booking and confirmation of a reservation, each customer (booker) automatically undertakes to respect and comply with these house rules in full.

1. Philosophy & Human Dignity

• For the coexistence of diverse people, rules and agreements are necessary.
• Their aim is to protect the individual needs, interests, and personality of each individual at the Grandhotel.
• We value open, fair, and non-violent discourse and respectful interaction with one another.
• We do not tolerate any deliberate, targeted, or negligent degradation of personality, as this constitutes a violation of human dignity.
• This includes in particular sexual harassment, bullying, and discrimination.
• The subjective perception of the affected person is decisive.

2. Good Neighborliness & Noise Protection

• We hope that coexistence within the house and with the neighborhood works as well as possible. The need for rest of as many people as possible must be taken into account.
• The statutory night rest from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM must be strictly observed. During night rest, the music volume in the general indoor area must be reduced to room volume.
• Special regulations for events in the basement and seminar rooms: To protect the neighborhood and our hotel guests, the following strict noise limits apply to these rooms:
  – Until 10:00 PM: maximum 99 decibels
  – From 10:00 PM: maximum 85 decibels
  – From 12:00 AM: maximum 70 decibels
  – From 4:00 AM: maximum 30 decibels

3. Privacy & Security

• Everyone has the right to privacy.
• Only the hotel team has access to hotel and hostel rooms while respecting privacy.
• Rooms may only be entered in the presence or absence of occupants in case of danger.
• Photography and filming is only permitted in coordination with our communication team, and personality rights must be observed.
• After the café closes, care must be taken to ensure all doors of the house are locked.

4. Fire Safety & General Rules

• A strict smoking ban applies in all indoor areas.
• Fire safety regulations must be complied with in any case, and instructions from the fire safety assistant must be followed.
• Escape and rescue routes must be kept clear at all times and must not be blocked by furniture or other objects.
• Bringing weapons, drugs, or other dangerous objects is prohibited.
• Bringing animals (except assistance animals) is prohibited.
• We do not want hard alcohol or drugs in the Grandhotel Cosmopolis area.

5. Use of Rooms, Capacity Limits, Sustainability & Cleanliness

• Maximum capacity for event rooms: For the basement and seminar rooms, the number of persons present is strictly limited to a maximum of 99 persons. This limit must never be exceeded for safety and fire protection reasons.
• We expect careful handling in the use of all rooms.
• Resources in our house should be valued and handled with care. We pay attention to energy-conscious use of heating, water, and electricity.
• Any soiling caused must be removed immediately. All waste must be sorted according to the separation system.

6. Violations & Consequences

• In case of violations of these guidelines, especially exceeding noise limits or person capacity, immediate expulsion from the building may be issued.
• Further consequences may include termination of the event, criminal charges, or retention of the deposited deposit.
